Undeserved rewards fill the trough
Who do we trust?
We all want to believe in our law enforcement agencies and the relationship between the solving of serious violent crimes and the consumption of tax dollars (federal, state and local) that are given to our law enforcement agencies.
In my city of Delray Beach, Florida it seems that there are plenty of new shiny toys and nifty gadgets for the police and fire departments; the exorbitant overtime pay and kingly pensions that the police and fire departments enjoy don’t seem to match the results that should be relevant to any expenditure.
Triple billing doesn’t seem to be a crime in Delray Beach, even when a hurricane victim is robbed, threatened, lied to by the city and then obstructed from the truth by the “good old boy” system that still thrives in Delray Beach.
“What’s the big deal? Triple billing happens all the time”, is the status ‘quote’ in Delray Beach.
Another obvious defect in the city of Delray Beach’s police force is the zero results in a 17-year-period with 13 unsolved murders.
Why are we paying these agencies so much money for their pensions and extreme health benefits when it’s our tax dollars that they’re spending to insure their own financial security and affluent lifestyle? The undeserved rewards keep on being sucked out to the world of the drug warrior and it’s atmosphere of self-congratulations.
