When I first heard about the lack of predatory law-enforcement and the beginnings of a citizen’s right of freedom to exist as a free citizen in a free state, my first thought was,” Not in Corporate Amerika” … but that was before I arrived in Boulder, Colorado.
I sort of noticed a weight being lifted off of my ’rear view mirror syndrome’ the second I was out of Kansas, a State that allows Corporate Human Waste Lagoons to exist next to it’s public highways. Colorado welcomed me with a seventy-five mile an hour speed limit and the tempo and the flow of the traffic was way more relaxed. No more panic while viewing a police car in my rear view mirror, my little bit of potion is not a crime here in Boulder, I still can not believe I am in Corporate Amerika, in a city that has choice, grace and respect for it’s law enforcement community.
My impression is that the Police in Boulder are not hunting Boulder’s citizens for resources and revenue they are helping the citizens here be safer and smarter concerning the operation of the city without scapegoating little Johnny for handling marijuana and therefore eliminating the rear-view mirror syndrome from my fear factor.
What a relief! Police who do their job without prejudice and with common sense. The power of the peaceful is at work in Colorado, it is a thrill to witness and a privilege to be here amongst the folk heroes [everyone from the police to the handlers of marijuana] who are learning to co-exist while honoring the Bill of Rights ( especially issues of choice ) and who are proceeding with common sense and caution. Congratulations Boulder! May you be a Huge Success! Thank you for Being… an experiment going right!
