Oil turned Nigeria into Louisiana and now oil has turned Louisiana into Nigeria
Corporations destroying the natural world for money and control and a U.S. corporate government that destroys free will through drug war by forcing citizens to pee into jars in order to qualify for work (drug testing) would be funny if the U.S. Congress, the thugs on Wall St. and the banks were not committing treason by overtly subverting the law of the land.
Corporate Amerika thinks that it uses the Gulf Stream to carry it’s toxic waste out of the Gulf of Mexico and out to sea but the Gulf of Mexico’s corporate toxic waste does not go out to sea; it funnels into the Gulf Stream and pollutes the entire American and Canadian eastern seashore .
In the 1960′s we knew that nature could provide an answer to our nation’s energy problem (we did not have an energy policy at that time ). Our question was : Why build a dam when you can utilize the power of the Gulf Stream to supply clean electric power for the entire country? In America every river has a dam except for the Yellowstone, American Rivers are plagued with over 3,000 dams.
The criminal Richard Nixon’s answer to these college students was the overt subversion of our U.S. constitution by presidential decree of illegal drug war waged against our own people whose drug warriors now, decades later, have put our nations communities on the verge of bankruptcy and who have successfully criminalized the loyal opposition for a half of a century over an issue of choice .
Imagine having something as precious as oil and burning it as fast as you can just to make money using murder , theft and the destruction of indigenous culture and the natural world as your methods of operation.
The oil and coal industry has poisoned the world’s fish supply during my lifetime. The lesson I have learned is : if you burn coal you poison fish ; if you burn or spill oil you poison and kill fish.
The oil companies have destroyed Nigeria’s eco-systems and hired armies to murder civic leaders who protest about that destruction; oil corporations operating in America have done the same destruction to the ecology of America’s Louisiana but the Louisianans have not objected about their foul smelling air, the petro-chemical pollution of their land and water, the mercury and lead that poisons their fish and poisons their wildlife. Louisiana’s government just looks the other way instead of being the elected protector of our greatest resource which we all know is a safe, clean natural environment for our culture and our wilderness areas.
The people in Nigeria are oppressed by the oil industry’s complete pollution by toxic petro-chemical pollution and oil spills. The people in Nigeria are powerless because their government has been overtly subverted by ‘Big Oil’.
The people in Louisiana are powerless against ‘Big Oil’s’ oppressive pollution and destruction of natural habitat and indigenous people because their government has been overtly subverted by ‘Big Oil.
Poor, stupid , greedy gulf-coast Louisianians have been watching a 6,000 square mile oil patch of dead water off of their coast for years grow and threaten their neighbors’ states while stuffing their pockets with the oil industry’s hush money.
Nigerians resist the destruction from ‘Big Oil’ even at the risk of imprisonment or death; Louisiana has been pretending for years that it’s fish and wildlife are not contaminated by the non-stop polluters of petro-chemicals and oil spills.
Too big to hide pretty much sums up the troff where those who pretend to be capitalists pig out on the destruction of our national economy and the world’s ecology : … they are thugs in suites.
